No, this isn't another Taco Tuesday post.
LeBron James is back on social media, but this time he isn't lip syncing along to some unreleased rap or disturbing the peace during his favorite day of the week. Rather, he promoted the newest addition to a LeBron diehard's collection.
The King did a personal unboxing of his latest signature shoe, the Nike LeBron 17, and shared it through his Instagram stories.
LeBron tried to sell that he "has no idea what it was," but he seemed genuinely hyped about the special packaging, which featured a detailed timeline of every LeBron sig — from the original Air Zoom Generation and one of his favorites, the 7s, to the 15's LeBron Watch and the "Future Air" 17.
For someone who's built like a freight train, the three-time NBA champion and four-time MVP noticeably had a hard time getting the box and actual pair out of the unique parcel. On the other hand, this set up playful commentary from LeBron, who even said, "Nike is getting out of control. I'm going to be honest."
Netizens had mixed reactions to what many say should be just the first of many hilarious LeBron unboxings. There's a reason he was such a hit in Trainwreck and why we're excited about Space Jam 2.
Some got bored when the wrapping job felt like a prank after the first few minutes. Others just aren't buying the idea that it was LeBron's first time seeing his new basketball shoe.
Your move, adidas.
