WITH the belief that movement doesn’t always have to look intense—or even intentional, PENSHOPPE PLAY enters the activewear space with a quieter take on being active, designed for people who move through their days in their own way.

Whether it’s a quick walk, a casual workout, running errands, or simply being on the go, the line treats movement as something lived, not performed.

Fronting the launch are Southeast Asian Games athletes Kira Ellis, a national triathlete, and Elijah Cole, a national pole vaulter.

While both compete at the highest level, their presence points to something more relatable than elite performance—a genuine ease with movement as part of everyday life.

The first collection draws inspiration from what athletes wear before, after, or in between training, when things are relaxed and effortless. The pieces feel lived-in rather than technical, designed to move easily from one activity to the next.

For Ellis, versatility is part of the appeal.

“Even if you just want to look good and it’s all sportswear, it kind of encourages you to get into that active lifestyle,” she said. “Like, I look good. I think I want to go to the gym today.”

She added that the clothes don’t feel locked into a single purpose. “You could go shopping, grocery shopping. You could go to the gym. You could walk your dog. You could go to the park,” Ellis shared. “Some clothing is very specific to an occasion—this isn’t.”

Cole echoed the same sentiment, pointing to comfort and fit as key.

“Everything that I’ve put on so far feels right on my body,” he said. “It’s one thing to be comfortable, but it feels like it’s supposed to be on you.”

He also noted how the pieces stood out for their simplicity, adding that the colors are “very easy on the eyes and neutral.”
