KIEFER Ravena and Vic Manuel officially changed their jersey numbesr to 24 in honor of Kobe Bryant.
Ravena and Manuel made the switch on Sunday during the first game of the PBA bubble at the Angeles University Foundation gym.
The two players have actually asked permission from PBA commissioner Willie Marcial to change their numbers last February following the death of the Los Angeles Lakers legend.
But Ravena and Manuel were only able to don their new jerseys on Sunday following the resumption of the PBA Philippine Cup inside the Pampanga bubble.
Ravena wore No. 15 for practically his entire basketball career dating back to his days with Ateneo.
Manuel, meanwhile, has been wearing No. 87 since 2018 after the birth of his daughter on August 7.
It was also while wearing No. 87 that Manuel’s career flourished, capped by his call-up to the Gilas Pilipinas in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
