Jimmy Butler backs Jones mom's breast cancer fight with pink Jordans

JIMMY Butler came out to support the mother of former teammate Tyus Jones in her fight against breast cancer by showing up for Game Three of the Philadelphia 76ers' NBA playoff against the Toronto Raptors in pink shoes.

"We fighting Mama Jones," the Sixers forward wrote on the soles of the pink Air Jordan 32 shoes he wore in the team's 116-95 home victory that gave Philly a 2-1 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Butler and Jones were teammates at Minnesota before the trade that sent Butler to Philadelphia last November.

Tyus Jones and his brother Tre, who plays for Duke in the NCAA, announced the cancer diagnosis of mother Debbie last March, saying it was caught at an early stage.
