DREAM come true.
It was his father’s dream to become a PBA player, and San Miguel cager Terrence Romeo turned his dad William’s dream into a reality.
The former Far Eastern University star shared that his dad, William, was once a varsity player back in Cebu and he wore the jersey No. 7.
That was the reason why he has been wearing jersey number seven ever since he was in college.
“Simula noong dati pa [No. 7 na gamit ko],” he told SPIN Life on Wednesday after SMB’s win over Blackwater, 93-79, at the MOA Arena.
“Kasi dream ng Papa ko na mag-PBA kaya lang hindi niya natupad,” he sadly added.
Looking back, Terrence could only smile now that he has made his father happy and proud.
“Kaya ang sabi ko sa kanya ako ang magtutuloy ng dream niya,” he said. “And kukunin ko ang No. 7 para sa kanya.”
“I’m sure proud siya sa akin and happy siya,” he added.
Now that he’s already a father to Terrence Jr., he hopes that he can also be a good example not only to his son but also to the youth.
“Masaya ako na may mga naiinspire ako,” he said.
