RUNNING is no longer just for runners, and lifting is no longer reserved for gym enthusiasts.
As hybrid training continues to gain traction globally, more athletes and fitness buffs are blending endurance and strength work into a single routine, creating new demands not only in training but also in the gear they use.
Recognizing that shift, adidas has expanded its hybrid performance lineup with the launch of the Adizero Dropset Pro, a shoe designed to support athletes who move seamlessly from the treadmill to the weight room.

Built by combining the speed-focused technology of the Adizero franchise with the stability-driven foundation of the Dropset series, the Adizero Dropset Pro arrives at a time when hybrid fitness is rapidly evolving from a niche discipline into a mainstream training approach.
The shoe incorporates several of adidas' signature performance technologies, including Lightstrike Pro foam for lightweight cushioning and energy return, energy rods that help create smoother heel-to-toe transitions, and the Lighttraxion outsole designed to reduce weight without sacrificing grip.
It also features Continental rubber for reliable traction on various surfaces and a thin Adizero sockliner that enhances ground feel and stability during strength-focused movements.
Designed to handle everything from treadmill intervals and short runs to sled pushes, weighted lunges, farmer's carries and wall-ball exercises, the Adizero Dropset Pro seeks to eliminate the need for athletes to switch footwear in the middle of a workout.
According to research commissioned by adidas, nearly half of hybrid athletes globally say their current footwear limits their performance during workouts, while 47 percent believe their shoes do not fully support both running and strength training. The findings reflect the growing challenge faced by athletes whose routines demand both speed and power.
The launch also underscores adidas' continued investment in the hybrid fitness space, including its partnership with ATHX and its presence at the HYROX World Championships in Stockholm, where the Adizero Dropset Pro will be worn by adidas athletes competing on one of the sport's biggest stages.

As the lines between runner, lifter and competitor continue to blur, hybrid training is creating a new generation of athletes —one that expects versatility from both their workouts and their equipment. With the Adizero Dropset Pro, adidas is aiming to keep pace with that evolution.
The adidas Adizero Dropset Pro is now available for PHP 8,500 through adidas' hybrid training collection and at adidas stores nationwide.
