ROBINSONS Land (RLC) gives a sneak peek into its flagship sports and leisure push by holding the first GX Sports In Motion hybrid fitness challenge on Saturday and Sunday (September 5–6) at the Robinsons Galleria Main Atrium.
The two-day event brings together athletes and fitness enthusiasts in a competition testing engine, strength and performance that is designed to let the public get a taste of the GX Sports experience before the doors formally open to its hybrid sports facility at Level 2 of Robinsons Galleria, in the heart of Ortigas.
GX Sports is Robinsons Sports and Leisure's flagship facility
Robinsons Land puts its growing sports and leisure strategy into motion through Robinsons Sports and Leisure, with GX Sports bringing that vision to life — beginning at Robinsons Galleria and previewed through GX Sports In Motion.
Robinsons Sports and Leisure is a business unit of Robinsons Land created to unlock this opportunity through sports, recreation, wellness, leisure and entertainment experiences, with the purpose of bringing new energy into RLC destinations and communities by making active and social experiences more accessible and more naturally part of everyday life.
At approximately 750 square meters, GX Sports will serve as Robinsons Sports and Leisure's first flagship hybrid sports facility, bringing together training, competition, play and community under one roof.
It will house a HYROX Training Club X (HTC-X), giving athletes access to an officially recognized HYROX training environment with dedicated training zones, official competition equipment and year-round performance programming designed to help them train exactly the way they race.
The facility will also feature two pickleball-sanctioned courts with the goal of bringing together the intensity of hybrid fitness and the social nature of racquet sport within one destination.
Planned experiences include fitness classes, open-gym access, race-training and simulation programs, pickleball court play and beginner clinics, subject to final operating readiness. Customer amenities are also planned to include locker and shower access, among other supporting facilities.
More than its physical features, GX Sports is intended to become a place where people of different levels can train with purpose, challenge themselves and find a community that keeps them coming back.
GX SPORTS IN MOTION: THE FIRST MOVE
Ahead of the facility opening, Robinsons Sports and Leisure hosts an event that focuses specifically on hybrid fitness as one expression of the wider GX Sports proposition.
At Robinsons Galleria, GX Sports will bring together hybrid fitness and pickleball in one destination, while future locations may feature different sports concepts based on the needs of each destination and community.
GX Sports In Motion is built on the belief that fitness is for everyone. Whether participants are seasoned athletes or just beginning their journey, the competition provides an opportunity to challenge themselves and measure progress on their own terms.
The event is also intended to build the first GX Sports community — bringing athletes, coaches, fitness groups, partners and mall customers together even before the facility opens, making it a platform for training, competition and community.
