CELEBRITY ambassadors Zoren Legaspi, Gretchen Ho, and Kim Atienza will represent Team Pru Life UK in the Prudential RideLondon 2019, which kicks off on August 3 and 4.
Volleyball star turned host Ho is set to see action in the Surrey 46, a 46-mile ride designed for newer and younger cyclists, while the more experienced Legaspi and Atienza will join Surrey 100, a 100-mile challenge.
“Sobra akong excited but it’s my first time to ride in London and I’m so excited makita kung ano nga ba ang experience ng isang siklista roon,” said Ho, who’s on her third year with Pru Ride London.
Aside from participating in a tougher category, the TV actor and veteran weatherman will also get the chance to raise money for charity.
“I’m very, very excited and at the same time kind of nervous ‘cause I don’t know what to expect there pero nag-train naman ako, so physically I’m okay,” said Legaspi. “Meron daw kasi doon mga steep climb na puno ng mga cyclists so magbabakbakan ng siko so iniisip ko if I go a little bit faster mas konti ang makakasama ko roon.”
Atienza sounded just as excited as Legazpi. “Itong RideLondon ay isa sa pinaka iconic na rides sa buong mundo, people all over the world sign up for this. You’re with like-minded people, people as passionate about cycling from all over the world. What more can you ask for?”
Legaspi, Ho, and Atienza are set to leave for London on August 1.
The prestigious race, which is expected to draw 100,000 participants from all over the world, is composed of a series of events for amateur cyclists and professionals.
