Everyone's scrambling for positives in Gilas Pilipinas' 46-point blowout loss to Italy over the weekend, but it appears that we don't have to look far to find one area where the Pinoys gave the Italians a run for their money.

Before the much-awaited matchup between the PH team and Serbia gets underway, let's look back at how the former made things interesting against the Azzuri in the sneaker department.

Here's hoping Gilas channels its collective love for Giannis Antetokounmpo and his new signature shoe versus the Serbians:

Danilo Gallinari - adidas Pro Vision

The Oklahoma City Thunder forward had an easy 16 points, four assists, and four threes in the streetball-inspired performance footwear.

Jeff Brooks - Nike Kobe AD

Brooks played the second-most minutes for Italy (22:35, behind Gallinari) and rewarded his coach's trust with eight markers, four rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.

Marco Belinelli - Nike React Hyperdunk 2017 Flyknit

The San Antonio Spurs guard laced up the first model to have "React" cushioning and tallied nine points, four dimes, and two swipes.

Amedeo Della Valle - adidas Harden Vol. 3

Della Valle hooped like James Harden and dropped 17 markers and three treys — sank all of his six free throws — in just 17 minutes.

Luigi Datome - adidas Dame 4 "Stats"

Like Damian Lillard, the ex-NBAer can't be stopped and made all of his seven field goals and three threes for 17 markers.

Alessandro Gentile - Air Jordan 33 Low "White/Cement"

Daniel Hackett - Nike Kyrie 5

Gentile (6 pts) and Hackett's (7 pts) impact didn't reflect on the boxscore, but both Italian guards proved too big and too much for their Pinoy counterparts.

Andray Blatche - Nike Zoom Freak 1 "Roses"

The naturalized center had a hard time keeping up with the speedy Italians and wound up with a turnover-riddled double-double.

June Mar Fajardo - Nike Zoom KD12

The Kraken swapped his usual Jordan pairs for the KD12s, and the unfamiliarity may have affected his game (9 pts, 6 reb, 2 stl).

Kiefer Ravena - Nike Zoom Freak 1

Even custom Nikes couldn't help the Phenom (5 pts on 2-9 shooting, 1-5 3pt) and his teammates find their mark.

Japeth Aguilar - Nike Zoom Freak 1

Don't expect Aguilar (2 pts, 4 reb) to have two straight bad games. A double-double and maybe a Jokic poster would be the perfect revenge.

Gabe Norwood - Jordan Jumpman Team 1

Norwood hopes to bounce back from his almost barren statline and flash the defensive beast that he has been known for.

CJ Perez - Nike PG 3 "University Red"

Paul George would be proud. Perez was the lone bright spot for Gilas with his fearless play, 17 markers, and three assists.

Troy Rosario - Nike Zoom Kobe 4 Protro "Draft Day"

RR Pogoy - Nike Hyperdunk X

Gilas will need all the shooting and defense from the TNT KaTropa duo of Rosario and Pogoy, who were both quiet in 15 minutes each.

Robert Bolick - Under Armour Curry 6

Bolick could've used Stephen Curry's shooting to narrow the gap versus Italy. He did convert all his four freebies, though.

Raymond Almazan - Nike Zoom Rize

Mark Barroca - Nike Hyperdunk X

Lee, Alamazan, and Barroca have to get more playing time to get themselves going and make more significant contributions.
