SIX PBA stars led by June Mar Fajardo of San Miguel and Scottie Thompson of Barangay Ginebra are now brand ambassadors of TAG Heuer following the recent renewal of the partnership between the two brands.
Fajardo and Thompson were joined by Jio Jalalon of Magnolia, Asi Taulava of NLEX, Chris Newsome of Meralco, and Sean Anthony of NorthPort after TAG Heuer bared they have renewed their partnership with the PBA.
Aside from renewing the partnership as the official timekeeper of the PBA, TAG Heuer also introduced new brand ambassadors on Thursday during the re-opening of its concept store at the Trinoma Mall in Quezon City.
Prominently displayed outside the concept store is a photo of the six ambassadors showcasing the Aquaracer Calibre 5, one of the new watches of TAG Heuer.
Thompson said he is blessed to have the chance at becoming a brand ambassador of one of the leading brands in the world.
“Sobrang happy, sobrang blessed kasi alam naman natin, TAG Heuer is a well-known watch in the world. Isa siya sa mga achievement ko sa career ko. Truly blessed talaga,” said Thompson.
Just like his former NCAA rival, Jalalon had the same sentiments.
“Sobrang thankful na napasama ako. Nagpapasalamat ako kay God na nakasama ko sila June Mar, Kuya Asi. Thankful ako na kinuha nila ako,” said Thompson.
Newsome was thrilled to have his dad around as he joins the ranks of TAG Heuer ambassadors that also included tennis star Petra Kvitova and American football superstar Tom Brady.
“It’s definitely a blessing to me to be an ambassador not only for TAG Heuer but also for the PBA. It’s something that I never would’ve dreamed of as a kid. Being able to see my picture in a store like this especially the brand itself. It speaks volumes of their world-class performance as far as what their consumer products is and how well they take care of their products,” said Newsome.
“It’s definitely a blessing to have my dad here to witness it. It is something that he never really thought about growing up, seeing one of his sons like this. Definitely blessed that he is here to see this. I know he is really proud of this,” Newsome said.
