WANT to improve your basketball skills once the enhanced community quarantine is lifted? There is one unique way to do so that will also give you an opportunity to help the frontliners who are battling the coronavirus pandemic.

House of Griddle, a food park stall in Mercato Centrale, Simple Grind and Beyond The Game have teamed up to hold Next Man Up, preparing food packs for frontliners against COVID-19.

A donation of P600 is equivalent to 10 food packs for workers in different hospitals around Metro Manila. The donor will be included in a two-hour group session of basketball skills training when government allows sports events and other gatherings to be held again.

House of Griddle founder chef Juan Vincent Bautista has spearheaded the project, with Simple Grind trainer Nicolo Chua, and Beyond The Game sports organizer and Carmelo Navarro presiding over the basketball training.

The group has raised P35,600 as of Wednesday, equivalent to 593 meals that will be distributed next week. The target for next week is to give out 1,000 healthy food packs.
