(SPOT.ph) We recently showed you some stylish shoes made from sustainable materials, but we've still got a long way to go when it comes to having eco-friendly footwear options. Good news is that brands are realizing the need for more sustainable apparel. One of these brands is Converse, which has a new line of kicks called the Renew Collection. It features the brand's signature silhouettes in fresh new colors and fabric made from recycled materials!
The Renew Collection includes the skater-style sneakers the brand has become known for, decked out in bright-but-wearable colors. Each shoe's canvas upper is crafted from 100% recycled polyester made from used plastic bottles. Converse teamed up with U.K.-based recycling company First Mile to source plastic bottles from developing countries, which were then broken into flakes, melted, and processed into fabric. If you take a closer look, you might notice that many of the sneakers feature the phrase "Life's too short to waste" on them.

Here's to hoping more brands come out with sustainably made apparel!
The Converse Renew Collection is available at Converse branches in Glorietta, Greenbelt, Ayala Feliz, and Shangri-La Plaza.
