BECAUSE the world needs more of this colorway, Converse has just dropped the All Star Pro BB ‘High Soul’ (inspired by Kelly Oubre Jr.) on Philippine shores.
And what a drop it is.
Tsunami Papi’s first official co-creation with Converse features psychedelic purple splashes — some muted, some vivid — all across the uppers, anchored with dark trim and a subtle blue wave on the sole.
At present, Oubre Jr. is in Orlando with the rest of the Phoenix Suns, but whether he’ll lace up in the NBA restart is still up in the air as the team doctors debate whether he’s recovered enough from last March’s meniscus surgery.
“He’s totally healed, his body looks great but there’s still some things he would have to be comfortable doing,” head coach Monty Williams said last week. “We would have to be comfortable based on our medical staff giving him the OK.”
The Suns forward has been known for his flamboyant sense of style, which has translated rather effectively to these high tops.
The All Star Pro BB ‘High Soul’ is exclusively available in specialty sneaker store Titan. You can nab it for P8,990 in its online store here, or via their app (Google Play, Apple Store). There's also a lighter-colored low top version called, naturally, the 'Low Soul.'
