CHOLO Villanueva is thrilled with his new endeavor which will give players from different levels, including weekend warriors, another playground.
The current MPBL, WMPBL, and UAAP coach along with his partners recently unfurled Hoops Haven, a basketball court located in P. Burgos St., Pasay City which he hopes to attract different kinds of players.

“With my passion and love for the game, this is my fruit of my hardwork, developing a new, professional sports facility for the next generation of basketball players,” said Villanueva.
Villanueva, who coaches the Batangas Tanduay Athletics in the MPBL, New Zealand Bluefire in the WMPBL, and De La Salle in the UAAP women's division, said Hoops Haven has advanced facilities for their clients.
“This is really a professionally-made basketball court,” said Villanueva.
“I've been renting, for so many years now, basketball courts. I really wanted a court that will fit the team's needs.”

“Itong flooring namin, may dual shock technology especially in the paint. Marami siyang shocks doon. From the landings, jumping, running, sprinting, kailangan very good sa knees para ma-prolong yung career ng professional basketball players, UAAP, or amateur players, and also yung mga weekend warriors. This was really made for them - a facility that will cater for all levels of basketball,” he continued.
The formal opening and blessing was held on Friday with no less than Pasay City mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano present along with city and barangay officials.
“It's been almost a year developing this facility. Hopefully, etong opening namin and blessing will be a good start to this new business venture,” said Villanueva.
The facility is open from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. with aircon and non-aircon rate. It also has a physical therapist on standby, two dugouts, and offices for coaches.
