It takes more than an apple a day to keep the sniffles away

THAT old Apple-A-Day saying just doesn’t hold true anymore. In fact it takes more than just an apple to keep the flu away. So step aside, apple, because here are eight simple ways to help boost the immune system.

1. Get moving

Although sometimes you would feel lazy to get some exercise, moving your body does wonders to your immune system. You don’t even have to go to the gym, or run a marathon; just do simple exercises at home, or jog a couple of times a week, and that’s good enough. Get your blood pumping, and get some oxygen flowing in your body.

2. Sleep, sleep, sleep

Sleep is a luxury nowadays. But try your best to get 7-9 hours of sleep each night, and see what it can do to your general disposition and immune system. 4. LOL (laugh out loud)

5. Avoid sugary drinks

Consuming too much simple sugars suppress the body’s production of white blood cells responsible for combating bacteria. Ditch the soda — keep yourself hydrated with natural fruit juices, teas, or water instead.

6. Say 'No' to smoking

The big no-no. Smoking undermines even the most basic immune defenses. On top of that, it raises the risk of bronchitis and pneumonia.

7. Keep it squeaky clean

Wash your hands properly to avoid bacteria and infections. Sing the happy birthday song twice in succession — that’s how long you should be scrubbing and rub-a-dubbing your hands to keep it clean. Also, cook your meals thoroughly.

8. Take a multivitamin

And last but definitely not the least: TAKE A MULTIVITAMIN. And make sure it’s a multivitamin that helps strengthen the immune system.

Centrum is complete, and contains vitamins and minerals that help build immunity, like Vitamins C, A, and E, Betacarotene, Selenium, Zinc, and so much more.

More than just for boosting the immune system, Centrum also helps give you energy, healthy skin and also helps fill in your daily nutritional gaps.
