UNIVERSITY of Sto. Tomas middle blocker Bianca Plaza donned a different pair of in-game kicks than the rest of the Tigresses, who all received customized Nike Kobe 8 Protro shoes from an anonymous donor.
The reason, however, was rather unfortunate.

A Facebook post from Plaza’s page on Thursday morning revealed that her shoes went missing from the six pairs to be delivered to the team ahead of their UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball match with University of the Philippines on Wednesday.
“On March 13, our order, which included 6 pairs of customized volleyball shoes, was delivered to the intended recipient, Bianca Plaza, a member of the UST [Tigresses] volleyball team.
“However, upon receipt of the package, it was discovered that only 5 pairs of shoes were included, and the pair designated for Bianca Plaza was missing,” the post wrote.

Apart from the delivery mishap, the alleged ‘arrogance’ of the designated rider was also questioned upon receipt of Plaza's text message after the transaction.
“I must express our disappointment in the behavior of the delivery rider who facilitated the transaction. Their arrogance and offensive remarks, including expressing ill wishes towards our team in their upcoming game against the UP Maroons, are completely unacceptable and unbecoming of a representative of your company.
“Fortunately, despite of the missing pair, the game today still favored the UST Tigresses.”
Plaza’s custom pair, as seen in the attached photo on her page’s social media post, is embedded with her jersey number 22 and is sought to be returned on top of her call for an investigation into the incident.
