Almost everything these days is pay-to-play.
For one, the level of investment for beginner athletes is no joke. The apparel and equipment demands of trying out a new sport like basketball, volleyball, or martial arts are outright discouraging.
Good thing a foreign athletic brand that offers budget-friendly functionality hit Philippine shores recently.

"You don't need expensive, branded items to succeed in the industry of sports. As long as you come out with good gear, you have room for growth as an athlete," said Brand Manager Miguel Punsalan of Pro Touch PH, one of Switzerland's top performing apparel companies.
Not only is the brand sustainable in terms of affordability, it also uses ecological materials from the miDori plant seed oil, which helps in controlling sweat during a physical activity.
Punsalan explained, "All apparel in our market are environmentally-friendly, as we use miDori plant seed oil layering and Polygiene technology to prevent foul-smelling odors."
The brand's footwear is also made of Ortholite, an open cell foam that is 95 to 100 percent breathable, to create a moisture-management system inside the shoe.
Simply put, Pro Touch gives athletes quality comfort, function, and protection — for a lower price.
"Their items are really eco-friendly and affordable. This is convenient for athletes na nagsisimula pa lang," said former UST Growling Tigress Rica Rivera during the product launch. "All-in-one na siya. You can also find a lot of stuff for different sports."
"Surprisingly, it's very affordable and high-quality. It helps you stay dry during trainings," added UP Lady Maroon Tots Carlos.
