NEW look, new hope for the Philippine national team as the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) and adidas unveiled the new Gilas Pilipinas kits on Thursday.
After forging a multi-year partnership with the SBP, the Three Stripes brand will now outfit both the men’s and women’s national teams beginning in their Fiba Asia Cup stints in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Shenzhen, China, respectively.

While retaining the country’s signature colors, the kit features a darker shade of royal blue, red Three Stripes details along the sides, a white neckline, and golden sun micro details.
It’s equipped with adidas’ AEROREADY technology for comfort and performance, designed to wick away moisture and keep players dry with its double-knit fabric.
For SBP president Al Panlilio, this marks just the beginning of a promising collaboration that he expects to flourish in the years ahead. Adidas also partnered with the Philippine Olympic Committee for last year’s Paris campaign.
For decades, Gilas kits were provided by Nike.
“They listened to us, we listened to them — it’s a collaboration. Adidas has long championed athletes from the grassroots to the global stage. We’re honored to have them as part of the Gilas Pilipinas journey. We hope this inspires future generations of players and fans alike,” Panlilio said.
To give fans a chance to proudly wear the colors at the Gilas Pilipinas Men’s upcoming home game, adidas will release the first wave of official jerseys on July 26, just in time for a tune-up against the Macau Black Bears on July 28 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The initial drop will be available at adidas Brand Center Glorietta in Makati and adidas Home of Sport TriNoma in Quezon City, with a wider nationwide release set for September.
A portion of the proceeds will support SBP’s grassroots programs, helping nurture the next generation of basketball talent.
