To celebrate the iconic Adidas model, New York book publisher Rizzoli has released a coffee table book in its honor, entitled Stan Smith: Some People Think I'm a Shoe! The book charts the Stan Smith's history, and is written by the man himself. It contains original imagery, historical photos, an exclusive portrait series by Juergen Teller, and contributions from arbiters of style, such as Raf Simons and Pharrell Williams.

The book also demonstrates that the personality of the shoe has everything to do with Smith himself, often through his anecdotes and stories of style influencers, designers, sports legends, and fervent sneaker fans. For the latter in particular, this is a collector's item, filled with street-style photography of Stan Smiths worn globally, to pop culture references of the sneaker in rap lyrics and Bollywood movies.
