FOR its next trick, Adidas Originals once again reaches into its archives - this time, to slap modern soles on its classic models. The 'Never Made' pack, which just was released in the Philippines, is comprised of eight sneakers from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, but melded with the brand's recent designs.
Adidas claims this project was meant to provide "a window into the brand's design process," and is "inspired by internal design workshops, which see the brand's designers explore unexpected combinations, the collection is a manifestation of ideas into reality."

The result is a collection of Frankenstein creations: The Adidas Country from 1970 with the sole of 2018's Adidas Kamanda; and the Adidas Rising Star from 1984 with the sole of 2015's Adidas NMD, among others. The entire collection is divided into three subgroups:
Genealogy of NMD resurrects each of the three sneakers from 1984 that inspired Adidas' runaway hit in 2015.

Line of Descent taps specifically into Adidas' 1970s models, and all the future models they inspired.

Genetically Modified 90s Tech takes Adidas' EQT and Feet You Wear technologies from the 90s, mashes them up, and infuses them with Boost.

The Adidas 'Never Made' pack is now available at Adidas Philippines' online store and at select Adidas retailers including Sole Academy in Bonifacio Global City and Commonwealth in SM Aura.
