ANDREW Wiggins is already one of the NBA's rising stars and adidas is rewarding the former Rookie of the Year's emergence with his first signature shoe.
Several sneaker websites on Friday have released photos of the new adidas Crazy Explosive in two Player Exclusive (PE) colorways. Both versions of the sneaker displayed the logo of the Minnesota Timberwolves’ rising star, who previously wore the Crazylight Boost, on the tongue.
The high top sneaker, though, was roasted online as it is reminiscent of a hiking or wrestling boot. However, the Crazy Explosive has some performance advantages as it prominently features a breathable Primeknit upper and a high-arching ankle support system. The midsole has similarities to the grooved Tubular design and may have Boost cushioning technology.
Wiggins will debut the Crazy Explosive next season as the Timberwolves look to fast-track their rebuilding process under new coach Tom Thibodeau.
