THE Philippine Dragon Boat Federation team wound up with two silvers and two bronze medals in the 2013 World Dragon Boat Championships in Szeged, Hungary.
The Filipino paddlers placed second in the small boat women’s 200 meters and the standard boat mixed 500m division before settling for third in the small boat women’s 500m and the standard mixed 200m events of the world meet that ended Sunday.
The Philippines took silver in the women’s 200m with a time of 56.26 seconds with Thailand winning the race at 55.12. Chinese Taipei placed third with 57.4.
In the mixed 500m, the Filipino paddlers also claimed the silver with a clocking of one minute, 57.37 seconds with China placing first with 1:56.73. Canada settled for third with 1:57.55.
