THE Philippine Dragon Boat Federation (PDBF) team scored two gold medals in the first Dragon Boat World Cup recently in Fuzhou, China.
The Cobra-PDBF team won the 100-meter premier mixed event with a time of 23.445 seconds, beating Canada (23.825) and China (24.049) in the meet organized by the International Dragon Boat Federation.
The Philippine team bagged the 500-m premier mixed event gold, winning in two minutes and 3.693 seconds, over China (2:03.941) and Canada (2:04.553)
The Filipino paddlers also snared a silver medal in the 200-m standard.
The PDBF squad earlier this month claimed one gold and two silver medals in the 11th Asian Dragon Boat Championship in Macau.
