THE Philippines captured its first medal of the 27th Southeast Asian Games Saturday as wushu bets Daniel Parantac, John Keithley Chan, and Norlence Ardee Catolico settled for the silver medal in the men’s duilian event in Naypyitaw.
Parantac, Chan, and Catolico finished with aggregate score of 9.62 as they lost the gold to the Myanmar pair of Kyaw Zin Thit and Wai Phyo Aung, who tallied 9.64 points.
Thailand’s Baramee Kulsawadmongkol, Pitaya Sae Yang, and Sujinda Sae Yang bagged the bronze with a score of 9.60.
The duilian event is more of form where wushu bets perform choreographed moves to be scored by judges.
