THE Philippines will host the 2nd Southeast Asian Karatedo Championships from April 18 to 21 at the Fontana in Clark Field Pampanga, just five months after holding the World Shoto Cup Karate Championships in Cebu.
“Magandang exposure ito for us lalo’t we are preparing to take the lead in the coming Myanmar Sea Games,” Philippine Karatedo Federation president told spin.ph.
11 Asean countries will take part in the tournament, with the Philippine squad to be led by Engine Dagohoy, Princess Cicangco and Joana Ylanan.
Also seeing action are last year’s medal winners Racquel Lozares, Mai Soriana, Jason Macalalay, Rexo Romaquin, Michael Badil, Mabel Arevalo and Ogie delos Santos.
