THE PHILIPPINES took home two gold medals in the 6th Sanda World Cup in China.
Jessie Aligaga captured the men’s 48kg crown when he beat a Vietnamese foe while Denbert Arcita got a gold in the men’s 52kg class with a win over a Vietnamese in the finals.
With the victories, Aligaga and Arcita bagged 10,000 yuan in the invitational tournament for medalists in the recent world championships.
Aligaga and Arcita have been invited to the tournament after winning gold medals in the World Wushu Championships in Turkey last year.
Benjie Rivera bagged a silver medal.
