DIVINE Wally won a gold medal to lead a successful Philippine campaign in the 9th Asian Wushu Championship where the national team also copped one silver and four bronze medals in the competition held in Taiwan.
Wally captured the gold in the women’s 48kg of the sanda event after beating her Vietnamese opponent in the finals.
Arnel Mandal also bagged the silver in the 52kg sanda event while Carlos Baylon took the bronze in the 56kg division. Clemente Tabugara Jr. and Hergie Bacyadan wrested the bronze in the men’s and women’s 56kg division, respectively.
Also winning a bronze medal was Agatha Wong in the taijijian competition.
