ELDREW Yulo finished a respectable eighth place in the men's all-around finals of the 3rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics Junior World Championships at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City.
Yulo scored a total of 78.731 in the six apparatuses, proving that he is one of the best junior gymnast in the world.
The 17-year-old Yulo placed eighth after he also finished second in the floor exercise with a score of 14.300.
Incidentally, the floor exercise final to be held on Sunday will be one of the three more events that Yulo will be shooting for a medal.
Yulo clinched a spot in the final after placing 15th in the qualifications on Thursday, while also getting a chance at the medal in the vault and horizontal bar to be held on Monday.
Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz was in attendance to support Yulo.

"Sobrang saya po kasi na even though hindi ako nakapasok sa top three, I still managed to get the top 10," Yulo said.
"I'm still proud of myself because I finished in the qualification 15th, but now I finished at 8th. But next time, I will do my very best to get to the top three. If hindi kinaya ng powers ko, it's okay. I still have many events there," he added.
An injury in his right foot during the vault prevented Yulo from a higher placing in the all-around final to finish 14th with a score of 13.466.
Yulo ranked ninth in the pommel horse with a score of 13.000, 10th in the horizontal bar with 13.066, 14th in the parallel bar with 12.833, and 17th in the rings with 12.066.
"Bigla na lang siyang sumakit nung tumatalon talon ako. Doon sa triple twist sa vault earlier, siguro nag-deplanting ako tapos sumakit siya."
