ELDREW Yulo will continue his training in Japan and will fly back on Wednesday after his campaign in the 3rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics Junior World Championships.
The 17-year-old Yulo brought two bronze medals for the country in the floor and horizontal bar over the past few days, but soon he'll be back in Japan to train under the auspices of Japanese coach Munehiro Kugimiya.
“Balik ni Eldrew is sa 26 to Japan. Babalik din siya dito ng December 20,” said Yulo’s coach Reyland Capellan during a press conference at the conclusion of the junior world championships hosted by the Philippines.

It will also be in Japan where Yulo will heal up after sustaining an injury in his right ankle during the recently-concluded competition.
“Meron kasing therapist sa Japan so I think two to three weeks (ang recovery),” said Capellan.
There is little rest for Yulo after copping medals at home in front of family including older brother and two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, and parents Angelica and Mark Anthony.
“May mga targets kaming hini-hit para pagdating ni Eldrew sa seniors level, ma-compete niya ‘yung mga target skills na gagamitin namin if dumating sa point na si Eldrew ay mag-seniors na. Sumusunod kami sa plano ni coach Mune,” he said.

Capellan said Yulo is targeting the World Cup competitions that is set in 2026 as they are also qualifiers for the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships to be held in Rotterdam, Netherlands in October.
The World Cups will be held on February in Cottbus, Germany, March in Baku and Antalya, and April in Cairo and Doha.
“Four months continuous competition for world championship,” said Capellan.
