YUKA Saso had a closing two-under 70 in the Japan Women’s Open Golf Championship on Sunday at The Classic Golf Club in Fukuoka.
The 19-year-old Saso, twice a winner in her first season on the Japan LPGA, wound up tied for 14th with a 286 total.
Saso had earlier rounds of 73-70-73.
Erika Hara, who had a four-stroke lead after three rounds, shot a four-under 68 to finish at 272.
Two early bogeys hampered Sakura Koiwai’s bid to catch up, carding a 68 for a 276 total.
Momoko Ueda and Sumika Nakasone bot scored 69 for a 280 total and joint third.
Minami Hiruta went bogey-free in posting the day’s best 66 for joint fifth place at 281 with Na-Ri Lee of South Korea, who shot a 68.
