Winter Serapio posted the day’s best round – a two-over-par 68 – to win the girls’ 7-8 division in the JGFP FMG D-League at Club Intramuros golf course in Manila on Saturday.
The seven-year-old Immaculate Conception Academy student carded four birdies against four bogeys and a double bogey to win by 21 strokes over Ziyu Liu.
In the only division that was extended to an extra hole, Sebastian Darjuan came through with a birdie to edge Franco Miguel Estrella for the boys’ 6-and-under title. Both players carded identical 80s.
The other division winners were Stephanie Gaisano Gan, girls’ 6-and-under; Kenji Yamada, boys’ 7-8; Luis Espinosa, boys’ 9-10; Jessica Eusebio, girls’ 9-10; Kevin Kyle Tecson, boys’ 11-12; Sophia Liao, girls’ 11-12; Inno Flores, boys’ 13-14; Chloe Ang, girls’ 13-14; Rodrigo Faundez, boys’ 15-18; and Kyllie de Jesus, girls’ 15-18.
