TONY Lascuña fired a 69 to take a one-stroke lead in the third round of the ICTSI Eagle Ridge Invitational in Gen. Trias, Cavite.
The three-time money list topnotcher moved to 11-under 205, a stroke ahead of overnight leader Orlan Sumcad, who had a 71.
“Aoki is a tough course and I’m just lucky to have a good start because the backside is tougher,” said Lascuña, eyeing his third Eagle Ridge triumph after winning at the Faldo course in 2011 and at Aoki in 2012.
The 42-year-old Sumcad hit back-to-back birdies from No. 16 for the third straight day.
“I’m having a hard time putting from long range. But once I get the feel of it, I think I will have a chance,” said Sumcad.
Zanieboy Gialonalso shot a 71 and was in third at 207.
Clyde Mondilla eyeing a third straight win after topping Eastridge and Calatagan, also shot a 71 and stood four strokes off.
Jerson Balasabas bounced back from a second round 76 by shooting 67, hitting birdie on three of the last seven holes for joint fourth with Mondilla and Jhonnel Ababa, who had a 70, in the P2 million event sponsored by International Container Terminal Services, Inc.
