TONY Lascuña bagged his third victory this year on the Philippine Golf Tour, completing a season-best 11-shot romp with an eagle-aided 67 on Saturday at Forest Hills Golf and Country Club in Antipolo.
Thrice a topnotcher of the PGT money list, Lascuna entered the final round with an eight-stroke lead and cruised to victory, hitting an eagle and a birdie in the last three holes for a 16-under 268 total. Lascuna bagged P360,000.
Zanieboy Gialon also shot a 67, while Orlan Sumcad carded 70 and wound up tied for second at 279. Each received P195,000.
“It’s nice to win again. I’ve been working hard to further improve my game,” said the 46-year-old Lascuña.
Lascuña’s 11-shot eclipses Clyde Mondilla’s eight-stroke triumph at Calatagan last month.
