Micah Shin is set to revisit the venue of his last triumphant career moment as he reignites his rivalry with local golf stars in The Country Club Invitational 2024, commencing Tuesday, January 23 at the TCC course in Laguna.

The Korean-American golfer, whose skills flourished in Davao, secured a thrilling victory in the 2018 edition by outplaying Miguel Tabuena in a captivating stretch-run battle. This achievement marked Shin as the first non-Filipino champion in the tournament’s prestigious history, known for its elite participant lineup and substantial prize purse.

The 26-year-old shotmaker's win in 2018 was his third career victory, following breakthrough triumphs in the CAT Open of the Philippine Golf Tour in 2016 and a gripping playoff victory in an Asian Tour event at Manila Southwoods the following year. Shin has since elevated his game to compete in the region's premier circuit, eagerly pursuing a fourth championship.

Taking advantage of the Asian Tour break, Shin is eager to compete once again in the TCC Invitational, strengthening an already formidable field that includes former champions and the Top 30 from last year’s PGT Order of Merit.
