MIGUEL Tabuena is spiraling from bad to worse after carding a 4-over-par 75 in the third round of LIV Golf Mexico on Saturday that dropped him to 56th place, second to last among 57 competitors.
Tabuena had no answer to the difficulty posed by the Club de Golf Chapultepec in Mexico City where he managed just one birdie against three bogeys and a double bogey, again on a par 5, which he also made in the second round.

He is now 9 over for the tournament after earlier rounds of 73-74 and his total of 222 is 23 strokes behind Jon Rahm who took a two-stroke lead going to the final round.
At the rate he is going, the 31-year-old Filipino star, playing as a wild card, is poised for another deflating finish at this limited-field league where his position in the last three legs was 50th, 51st and 52nd.
Rahm continued to keep his pursuers at bay, firing a 4-under-par 67 for a two-shot lead over Tyrell Hatton who shot 66 and three strokes over the duo of Tom McKibbin and Brandon Grace who scored 69 and 65, respectively.
Rahm is 14 under for the tournament after earlier rounds of 65-67.
