Miguel Tabuena holed his approach for eagle on the par-4 15th hole to close with a three-under-par 68 and finish joint 13th in the Malaysian Open at The Mines Resort and Golf Club on Sunday.
Tabuena broke par in each of the four rounds to wind up on 15-under, eight shots behind Spanish winner David Puig.
He reached the turn on 1-under after sandwiching three birdies with two bogeys before coming home with an eagle and eight pars.
Angelo Que, the other Filipino who made the cut, shot even par 71 to settle for a share of 31st on 13-under.
Tabuena banked $12,777.78 (about P616,000) while Que collected $7,211.11 (348,000).
Puig sizzled for a 62 to finish the 72-hole event on 23-under, two shots ahead of Korean Jeunghun Wang who fired a 61. Tied for third on 20-under were Thai Denwit Boriboonsub and American John Catlin who carded 61 and 66, respectively.
