IT was a steady outing for Miguel Tabuena during the third round of LIV Golf Korea Saturday. He fired an even-par 70 and stayed at 6 over for the tournament.
That put him in a four-way tie for 53rd spot with one round left at the Asiad Country Club in Busan.
Tabuena had four birdies and four bogeys and still near the bottom, beating just two players who appeared not-to-serious about their game, with Bjorn Hellgren languishing at 15 over and Matt Wolff last at 18 over.
Tabuena’s group at 6 over included former Masters champion Louie Oosthuizen who shot 4 over par 74 as they trailed the leaders by 15 strokes.
Joaquin Nieman rolled in a curling 35-footer for birdie on his last hole to jump into a share of the lead with Talor Gooch.
Nieman shot a 4-under-par 66 while Gooch, who led overnight by one stroke, settled for a 1-under-par 69 as the duo posted 9 under for the tournament.
Lurking one stroke behind is Scott Vincent (67) while two shots back of the leaders were former Open champion Cameron Smith (68) and Charles Howell III (68), both at 7 under.
