FIL-Japanese Yuka Saso fired a 69 to stay firmly in the lead of the ladies division after three rounds of the Philippine Amateur Golf Championship on Saturday at the Riviera’s Couples course in Silang, Cavite.
The 15-year-old Saso hit down four birdies for a 208 aggregate, eight strokes clear with one round to play.
Hee Ji Kim had a 68 and a 216 for second spot, while Thailand’s Pajaree Anannarukarn carded a 75 for a 219.
Harmie Constantino shot a 72 for a 218 total.
Thailand’s Sadom Kaewkanjana fired a 67 for a three-stroke lead in men’s play.
Kaewkanjana, who started the day five strokes down, has a 212 total.
Yuto Katsuragawa dropped five strokes in a nine-hole stretch from No. 8 and wound up with a 75, slipping to second spot.
Young Korean Joo Hyung Kim carded a 73 for third at 220, Aniceto Mandanas had a 72 for a 221 and Carl Corpus turned in a 73 for 222.
