THIS might be another good tournament for Rico Hoey.
Hoey, the only Filipino regular on the PGA Tour, shot a 4-under-par 66 in the third of the Rocket Classic on Saturday (US time) and moved into a tie for 17th spot as he continues to seek his first win in the world’s toughest tour.

It might not be this week, but the Filipino hopeful, who has been eyed to represent the country in the Asian Games in Japan in November, has his sights probably on a top 10 finish.
He has had two runner-up finishes in the PGA Tour.
The event is the second to last before the FedEx Cup playoffs, where he is also too far away in the standings to gain a spot. He is in 114th place and only the top 70 players in the eligibility list qualify.
Hoey had eight birdies for the day, but bogeys were also in bunches. He had four. He is 9 under for the tournament, six shots behind new leader Davis Riley.
Riley shot a 7-under 63 and reached 15 under in the relatively easy course where he is one shot ahead of Michael Brennan who scored a 64.
Rasmus Hojgaard (61), Chris Kirk (66), Rickie Fowler (67) and Cameron Young (68) were three strokes off the leader.
Noh on top of British Women’s Open
Yealimi Noh was the surprise leader of the AIG Women's British Open after shooting a 2-under-par 69 in the third round that saw Haeran Ryu uncharacteristically make a mess of her game at Royal Lytham & St. Annes on Saturday (UK time).
Noh, 25, posted a three-shot lead over five players as she seeks her first major title, highlighting her round with a bogey-free back nine as well as four birdies over the last 10 holes and was 7 under for the tournament with one round left.
Ryu, looking to win three straight major championships to tie her compatriot, the retired South Korean great Inbee Park, shot a 3-over-par 74 in a round that saw her string five straight bogeys in an 8-hole stretch.
Despite this, Ryu is still within reach of adding a third major after winning the Women's PGA Championship and Evian Championship earlier.
The group at three strokes behind includes Jeeno Thitikul of Thailand. She closed with nine straight pars for a 72 to join the pack at 4-under 209.
Esther Henseleit of Germany (67), Lucy Li (69) and Shiho Kuwaki of Japan (72) are in that group.
Nelly Korda, the No. 1 player who captured the first two majors of the year, had a pair of double bogeys, including the 18th hole, and finished with a 73, eight strokes behind.
Yuka Saso, meanwhile, shot her best round of the tournament, an even par 71, that pushed her into a tie for 27th place from 45th the day before.
She remains at 3 over for the tournament, 10 strokes behind Noh.
