ANGELO QUE fired a sizzling 66 to vault from 14th place to a share of third spot in the third round of the Myanmar Open on Saturday.
The Filipino shotmaker had a bogey-free round with nines of 32-34, with four birdies on the frontside and two going back. It was the third straight round in the 60s for Que, who earlier shot 69-68 at the Royal Mingalardon Golf and Country Club in Yangon.
That put him at 203, just two strokes off Thailand’s Chawalit Plaphol, who shot a third-round 68, and one behind Kiradech Aphibarnrat who had a 71.
Chapchai Nirat was also at 203 after a 67.
Antonio Lascuna, top money earner on the Philippine Golf Tour last year, and two-time Philippine Open champion Frankie Miñoza were in 31st place at 209 after both shot 69.
Mars Pucay had a third-round 73 for a 212 total and a share of 57th place.
