THE Philippine Open, Asia's oldest national golf championship, has been adopted as part of the International Series and will be held Nov. 12-15 at the Manila Southwoods.

This will be the second straight year that the IS will make its Philippine appearance following last October's ISP tournament at Sta. Elena Golf Club, which drew thousands of fans and saw local star Miguel Tabuena clinch the title to subsequently open his path to joining LIV Golf this season as a wild card.

BingoPlus will be the title partner reprising last year's role as presenting partner and affirms its deep commitment to support local golf by providing Filipino golfers an avenue to compete with some of the world's best players.

It is expected that the coming tournament will again draw LIV's stars, among them major winners Dustin Johnson, Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel who bannered the Sta. Elena event.

But more than the established stars, the tournament is expected to create new ones who may find their way into the lucrative world of LIV Golf, like Tabuena, as the event will provide points that will determine spots for next season's LIV tournaments.

The event will feature two defending champions in the same field. Tabuena could be joined by Julien Sale, the 2025 Philippine Open champion, setting up a unique clash on one of the country’s grandest stages.

Rahul Singh, head of The International Series, said: “Last year, The International Series demonstrated what a world-class event in the Philippines looks and feels like. The passion for golf in this country is unmistakable, as we saw from the crowds that came.

"Elevating the BingoPlus Philippine Open onto our 2026 schedule is a natural next step, strengthening a historic national tournament while creating greater opportunity for players through our global pathway.”
