    May 5, 2014
Reigning men’s national champion Rupert Zaragosa has been included by NGAP in the main field of the Open.

THE National Golf Association of the Philippines will hold an 18-hole qualifying tournament on Monday at Mount Malarayat in Lipa City for the last five slots to the 2014 ICTSI Philippine Open presented by the MVP Sports Foundation and PLDT.

Pros with valid professional association IDs and amateurs with a Unified National Handicapping System index of 3 can vie for the slots. Fee is P2,500 for local players and P3,000 for foreign bidders.

Only reigning men’s national champion Rupert Zaragosa and Philippine team member Justin Quiban have been given direct acceptance into the Open proper by the NGAP.

The Open, a $300,000 event, tees off Thursday next week at its old home, the East layout of Wack Wack in Mandaluyong.
