Yuka Saso, Lois Kaye Go, Annika Cedo march on to Round of 32 in US Junior Girls Amateurs

YUKA Saso continued her fine play, downing Dana Williams 1 up to advance in the US Girls Junior Amateur Championships on Wednesday at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, New Jersey (Thursday, Manila time).

The Filipina-Japanese golfer, who upstaged the pros in the Eagle Ridge Invitational in the Ladies Philippine Golf Tour, marched on to the round of 32 agaist on Canada’s Grace St. Germain, who beat Muni He of China 6 and 5.

Annika Cedo also won 1 up, over Conner Beth Ball to set up a round of 32 match with China’s Jing Wen Lu, who defeated Annike Kim 5 and 4.

Lois Kaye Go won a 20-hole an all-Filipina battle against Pauline del Rosario, arranging a showdown with Yujeong Son of Korea, who won 1-up over Mika Liu of the US.

Meanwhile, in the US Junior Amateurs, Cebu's WeiWei Gao is also in the Round of 32 after downing Brendan Hansen of the US, 3 and 2.

He faces Korea's Joseph Chun, who defeated Kyle Vance of the US, 5 and 4.
