Dottie Ardina, Regan de Guzman in joint 16th with one round to play in LPGA Qualifying

DOTTIE Ardina and Regan de Guzman stayed on course for a stint in the LPGA, holding on to a share of 16th spot with one round to play in the Final Stage of the Q-School on Saturday in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Although they slipped a few notches, Ardina and De Guzman remain in the running for playing status in the LPGA. The top 20 will earn full LPGA cards and the next 25 and ties will get conditional status.

Ardina, who played on the Symetra Tour last season, overcame a double-bogey on No. 1 at the Jones Course at LPGA International to card a 72 for a 283 total, slipping from joint 10th.

That was matched by amateur golfer De Guzman, who slid from eighth spot after a fourth-round 74 also at the Jones Course.

Clariss Guce, winner of two Symetra Tour titles, will also see action in the final round after firing a 72 at Hills Course for a 290 total, moving from joint 83rd to a share of 61st.

Princess Superal, winner of multiple titles in the Ladies Philippine Golf Tour, fired a 72 at Jones Course for a 294 total, winding up in joint 96th.

Mia Piccio fired a 75 at Jones Course for a 298 total and 123rd spot, while Cyna Rodriguez, who played in the LPGA Tour last season, finished at 300 after a 73 also at the Jones Course.

Jaye Marie Green of the US shot a 2-under 70 on the Hills Course for a 15-under 273 total and a two-stroke lead over Iceland's Olafia Kristinsdottir, who had a 68 at the Jones Course.
