Den Den de Castro of Rancho Palos Verdes sees action in Hong Kong Mid-Amateurs
The Sta. Lucia-Philippine contingent paid a courtesy call to President Rodrigo Duterte in Malacanang before the HK Am and Mid-Am. 

DEN Den de Castro of Rancho Palos Verdes will see action in the Hong Kong Amateur and Mid-Amateur Championships next week.

De Castro, a mainstay of RPV in the Sta. Lucia circuit will play in the Mid-Am tournament at the Clearwater Bay Golf Club from Oct. 18 to 21.

Korea’s Tom Kim will play in the main amateur men’s division.

De Castro and Kim got into the HK tournament after topping the Sta. Lucia Amateur Golf Tour and the Tournament of Champions at Beverly Place in Pampanga.

De Castro won the Davao leg then annexed the Class A division title in the TOC.

Kim ruled the Open class in the TOC.

Last year, Brian Kim, representing Eagle Ridge, topped the Mid-Amateur Category and placed fifth overall in the HK Am Open.

The Sta. Lucia-Philippine contingent is headed by Vince Santos.

The five-leg Sta, Lucia tour was organized in partnership with the National Golf Association of the Philippines. Four elimination legs were held at Sta. Lucia courses with the winners advancing to the Tournament of Champions.
