Amy Phalajivin, two other Thais confirm participation in LPGT's Sherwood Ladies Championship
Thailand’s Amy Phalajivin is hoping to add to the LPGT title she won last year at Splendido.

AMOLKAN Phalajivin and fellow Thais Hathaikarn Wongwaikijphaisal and Tiranan Yoopan have confirmed participation in the P500,000 ICTSI Sherwood Ladies Championship teeing off on Tuesday at Sherwood Hills Golf Club in Trece Martirez, Cavite.

Cyna Rodriguez is also among the favorites in the 54-hole tournament after dominating the previous Ladies Philippine Golf Tour stage at Riviera.

Wongwaikijphaisal finished tied for 11th while Yoopan ended up 13th at the Wack Wack Ladies Invitational won by top amateur Princess Superal.

Sarah Ababa, who led in the first round at Riviera but cracked under pressure in the last two days, tries to play steadier this time to score a breakthrough win in the country’s first ladies pro circuit sponsored by ICTSI.

Jayvie Agojo also tries to end a long title drought and former SEA Games gold medalist Chihiro Ikeda also hopes finally nail an LPGT title.

Korean Hwang Min Jeong, who tied Agojo at fourth at Riviera, heads the amateurs seeking to duplicate Superal’s Wack Wack feat, along with compatriot Koh Eu Na and local bets Marvi Monsalve, Diana Araneta and Felicia Medalla.

Also seeing action in the tournament offering a P100,000 top prize and organized by Pilipinas Golf Tournaments, Inc. are Cristina Corpus of the US, England’s Sarah Henderson and Koreans Kim So Un and Oh Yeji along with local talents Apple Fudolin, Lovelyn Guioguio, Lucy Landicho, Barsy Leonen, Eva Miñoza, Majorie Pulumbarit, Jan Punzalan, Tracy Que and Anya Tanpinco.
