MIGUEL Tabuena struggled to get going on moving day at the Sony Open, firing a 72 at Waialae on Saturday in Hawaii (Sunday, Manila time).

The Philippine Open champion had a tough day after two solid rounds, hitting three birdies against three bogeys.

Tabuena suffered a double-bogey on the par-4 No. 15 and slipped 41 places from joint 13th to a share of 54th with one round to play.

Top money earner two seasons ago on the Philippine Golf Tour, Tabuena stood at 204.

That is 16 off pacesetting Justin Thomas, who had a third-round 65 to add to earlier scores of 59-64.
