    Quiet round puts Miguel Tabuena seven strokes behind in Australia

    Miguel Tabuena comes up with two birdies and two bogeys.

    MIGUEL Tabuena had a quiet opening round of 72 and stood seven strokes off the pace in the Perth International on Thursday in Australia.

    The top Filipino golfer made two birdies on the front nine and two bogeys on the back at Lake Karrinyup Golf Club.

    That put the lone Filipino in the field in a big group at 49th spot, well behind Peter Uihlein of the US, who shot an eagle-aided seven-under 65 in the tournament sancrioned by the PGA of Australasia, Eurpoean Tour and Asian Tour.

    Uihlein eagled the par-4 No. 9 and also made six birdies against a bogey, leading Romain Wattel of France and Shiv Kapur of India by one.

    2010 British Open champion Louis Oosthuizen shot a 70.
