IT was moving day at LIV Golf Hongkong, and while Miguel Tabuena made a move Saturday, it was just minimally, as the Filipino star shot a 2-under-par 68 in the third round where it was expected he might make a dramatic charge.
Although he managed to move into red figure for the tournament, that effort just pushed him to 52nd place from the previous day’s 55th, a position only better than five other players in the 57-man field.

At 1 under par overall, Tabuena, who is in the field as a wild card, trails a trio of co-leaders, bannered by Spain’s Jon Rahm, who shared top spot at 17 under par after shooting a 5-under-par 65.
Tied with Rahm are Harold Varner III who shot a 63 and Thomas Detry, who turned in a 66 at the par-70 Hong Kong Golf Club.
Tabuena, who shot rounds of 72 and 69 earlier, had no bogeys in his third round, but managed just two birdies, on the 7th and 13th holes.
Thankfully for Tabuena, there is still one round left to improve his position and subsequently, his bank account, that may see a big jump should he move at least five places up.
LIV Golf is known for its huge payday: $4 million to the winner and a whopping $50,000 for the bottom finishers.
