MIGUEL Tabuena dropped to 44th place after a 2-over-par 73 in the second round of LIV Golf Singapore on Friday but remained in a much-better position than last week as the Filipino star continued to struggle against a small but strong field at the Sentosa Golf Club.
Tabuena is 3 over par overall after a first round 72 at the par 71 course, 13 strokes behind second-round leader Bryson DeChambeau who fired the day’s best of 6-under-par 65 to seize the solo lead.

The American ace took a three-stroke lead going into Saturday’s third round as a chasing pack of five players, led by Jon Rahm, winner in Hong Kong last week, was poised for action at 7 under par.
The others at 7 under were Lee Westwood, Louis Oosthuizen, Richard Lee and Thomas Detry.
Tabuena had a roller-coaster round, producing three birdies against five bogeys, but his last two bogeys came at an inappropriate time when he dropped strokes on the first and fifth holes in his second nine after coming out even par in the first nine holes of the shotgun-format competition.
Last week, in Hong Kong, Tabuena, one of five wild cards in the league, finished 52nd in the 57-player field.
